The PosiTector® IRT Infrared Thermometer is a high-performance, non-contact surface temperature measurement instrument designed for fast, accurate, and reliable readings across a wide range of industrial and inspection applications. Using advanced infrared technology, it enables professionals to measure surface temperatures without touching the surface, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision even in difficult-to-access or hazardous environments.
Equipped with a button-activated laser pointer, the PosiTector IRT ensures accurate targeting and repeatable results. It features a selectable emissivity function, allowing users to choose from 7 preset material options, set a custom emissivity value, or fine-tune based on a known reference temperature for optimal accuracy.
The built-in Statistics Scan Mode continually displays and updates key metrics — including average, standard deviation, minimum, maximum surface temperature, and number of readings — at a rate of one reading per second, offering complete visibility into surface condition trends.
Featuring a 5.7:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the PosiTector IRT is ideal for measuring both small and large surface areas, making it versatile for coating inspection, manufacturing, maintenance, and quality control operations. The Smart Trend indicators further assist in identifying whether temperatures are rising, falling, or stable, allowing quick interpretation during live measurements.
Each unit includes a Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST (Long Form), ensuring reliable accuracy and quality assurance. Available models include:
